TV1 KOEO AND CONTINUOUS MEMORY DTC P1A05: CHECK FOR PCM DTCS

Retrieve all continuous memory and on-demand self-test DTCs from the PCM.

Are any engine speed related DTCs present?

Yes	No
DISREGARD the current diagnostic trouble code (DTC) at this time. ADDRESS the next DTC. GO to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) CHARTS AND DESCRIPTIONS .	GO to TV2.

TV2 VERIFY THAT THE HARD FAULT IS PRESENT

NOTE: Clearing the TCM DTCs will erase any TCM recorded freeze frame data. Make sure to record any TCM freeze frame information before proceeding any further. Refer to the diagnostic tool instruction manual for freeze frame PID menu.

Clear and retrieve TCM continuous DTCs.

Is DTC P1A05 present?

Yes	No
GO to TV3.	Concern is elsewhere. RETURN to SYMPTOM CHARTS - HYBRID ESCAPE for further direction.

TV3 ATTEMPT TO START THE ENGINE

Key on engine running.

Does the engine start?

Yes	No
Key in OFF position. INSTALL a new transaxle assembly.	Key in OFF position. INSTALL a new PCM. REFER to FLASH ELECTRICALLY ERASABLE PROGRAMMABLE READ ONLY MEMORY (EEPROM) .
