DTC P2100: Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Motor Circuit/Open

P2100 - THROTTLE ACTUATOR CONTROL (TAC) MOTOR CIRCUIT/OPEN

Description:  A powertrain control module (PCM) fault flag is set indicating the motor circuit is open, and may require cycling the key.
Possible Causes: 
  • TAC motor has an open winding.
  • TAC motor is damaged.
  • TAC motor harness is open.
  • TAC motor harness is shorted to PWR.
  • TAC motor harness circuits are shorted together.
  • TAC motor harness connector is unplugged.
Diagnostic Aids:  A TAC motor circuit PID reading may indicate a fault, if available.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to Pinpoint Test DV .
