DTC P0A92: Hybrid Generator Performance

P0A92 - HYBRID GENERATOR PERFORMANCE

Description:  This DTC indicates a generator malfunction.
Possible Causes: 
  • Generator resolver malfunction.
  • Generator resolver/current sensor power supply malfunction.
  • Generator current feedback malfunction.
  • Damaged or seized engine.
Diagnostic Aids:  Clear the transaxle control module (TCM) continuous DTCs. Carry out a TCM KOEO on demand self-test. If DTC P0A92 is present again, check for damaged or seized engine, and install a new transaxle. Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION - ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (ECVT) - HYBRID ESCAPE . If the DTC is not present, fault can not be duplicated or identified at this time. GO to Pinpoint Test Z for intermittent diagnostics.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All (1) - (2)
(1) Check for damaged or seized engine. If the engine is OK, install a new transaxle. Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION - ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (ECVT) - HYBRID ESCAPE .
(2) Clear the transaxle control module (TCM) continuous DTCs. Carry out a TCM KOEO on demand self-test. If DTC P0A92 is present again, check for damaged or seized engine, and install a new transaxle. Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION - ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (ECVT) - HYBRID ESCAPE . If the DTC is not present, fault can not be duplicated or identified at this time. Go to PPT Z for intermittent diagnostics.
