DTC P0A7A: Generator Inverter Performance

P0A7A - GENERATOR INVERTER PERFORMANCE

Description:  This DTC indicates a generator motor high voltage inverter or traction battery malfunction.
Possible Causes: 
  • Inverter malfunction.
  • Inverter temperature sensor malfunction.
  • Generator control module (GCM) malfunction.
  • Generator gate drive circuit open.
  • Generator current sensor malfunction.
  • Generator current out of range.
  • GCM supply voltage out of range.
  • High voltage traction battery malfunction.
Diagnostic Aids:  The TCM DTC P0A7A could be stored as a result of a traction battery fault. Check for the presence of TBCM DTC P0A1F, P0A27, or P0A8D.
