Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the auxiliary climate control housing. For additional information, refer to AUXILIARY CLIMATE CONTROL HOUSING .
  2. Remove the nut and the thermostatic expansion valve lower bracket.
  3. Remove the 2 bolts and the thermostatic expansion valve upper bracket.
  4. Remove the thermostatic expansion valve.
    5. NOTE: New O-ring seals, lubricated in clean mineral oil, must be installed before reconnecting any A/C fitting which has been disconnected.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
