Differential - 4WD: Assembly

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to crush the bearing while pressing it onto the differential case.

  1. Install a new differential side bearing.
  2. Install the VSS drive gear.
  3. Install the spacer.
  4. CAUTION: Be careful not to crush the bearing while pressing it onto the differential case.

  5. Install a new differential side bearing.
  6. Install the final drive gear.
  7. Install the 10 final drive gear bolts.
    • Tighten in the sequence shown in Fig 3 to 120 Nm (89 lb-ft).

  8. Install the reduction gear.
  9. Install the 10 reduction gear bolts.
    • Tighten in the sequence shown in Fig 4 to 96 Nm (71 lb-ft).
