Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Remove the 5 bolts and the RH splash shield.
- Remove the plug.
- Turn the crankshaft pulley bolt to position the number one cylinder at top dead center and install the special tool.
- Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the bolts and the CKP sensor.
