Pinpoint Test C: DTC(S) C1311, C1313, C1315, C1317 And C1440 - Brake Hydraulic Pressure Transducer Signal Faults

  1. C1 INSPECT THE BRAKE SYSTEM 
    • Check the brake system for hydraulic leaks.
    • Are there any leaks in the base brake system? 
    1. YES  : REPAIR the base brake system. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
    2. NO  : Go to  C2.
  2. C2 CHECK FOR ABS MODULE OPERATION 
    • Disconnect the ABS module.
    • Check for:
      • corrosion.
      • pushed out pins.
      • spread terminals.
    • Connect the ABS module connector and make sure it seats correctly.
    • Clear the DTCs. Repeat the self-test.
    • Is the DTC still present? 
    1. YES  : INSTALL a new HCU. REFER to VEHICLE DYNAMIC SYSTEMS article. REPEAT the self-test.
    2. NO  : The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector.
