    NOTE: Inspect the D-ring cover for damage. If the cover is damaged or does not remain closed, install a new D-ring cover.
  1. Open the D-ring cover.
  2. Remove the nut and the D-ring.
    • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).


  1. Remove the safety belt shoulder height adjuster cover.
  2. Remove the 2 bolts and the safety belt shoulder height adjuster.
    • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
  3. NOTE: Make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted prior to installation.
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  5. Check the active restraint system for correct operation. For additional information, refer to Safety Belt System  in this article.
