Removal And Installation

- Release the tension on the parking brake cable. For additional information, refer to Parking Brake Cable Tension Release .
- Remove the LH cowl side trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION article.
- Disconnect the front parking brake cables from the parking brake control.
- Release the front parking brake cable conduit from the parking brake control.
- Detach the cable conduit seal and remove the cable.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Inspect the parking brake system for correct operation.
NOTE:
The parking brake control take-up spool tab may need to be bent aside to allow the cable to be removed.
