Pinpoint Test D: The Chime Sounds When The Driver Door Is Ajar (No Key In The Ignition And Headlamps Off)

- D1 CHECK FOR INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DTCs
- Check the recorded DTCs from the instrument cluster self-test.
- Is DTC B1352 present?
Yes : Go to PINPOINT TEST A .
No : Go to D2.
- D2 CHECK FOR CORRECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ILLUMINATION OPERATION
- Check the instrument cluster illumination.
- Is the instrument cluster illumination operating correctly?
Yes : Go to D3.
No : REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND PANEL ILLUMINATION to continue diagnosis of the instrument cluster illumination.
- D3 CHECK FOR CORRECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OPERATION
- Disconnect all the instrument cluster connectors.
- Check for:
- corrosion
- pushed-out pins
- Connect all the instrument cluster connectors.
- Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
- Is the concern still present?
Yes : INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . TEST the system for normal operation.
No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector.
