PINPOINT TEST B: DTCs B2009 AND U2510 - DATA MISMATCH (RECEIVED DATA DOES NOT MATCH WHAT WAS EXPECTED)
- B1 USE THE DTCS FROM THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) SELF-TEST
- Use the recorded PCM DTCs.
- Is DTC U2510 or B2009 recorded?
Yes : GO to B2.
No : The system is OK.
- B2 CLEAR TRANSAXLE CONTROL MODULE (TCM) ID FROM THE PCM AND THE TCM
- Connect the diagnostic tool.
- CARRY OUT the parameter reset procedure. Refer to PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) PARAMETER RESET .
- Key in ON position.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the diagnostic tool: RETRIEVE DTCs.
- Is DTC U2510 or B2009 retrieved?
Yes : VERIFY TCM calibration is correct for the vehicle. If correct, INSTALL a new PCM. REFER to ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS - HYBRID . TEST the system for normal operation. Program 2 keys. REFER to KEY PROGRAMMING USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT in this article. CARRY OUT the parameter reset procedure, REFER to PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) PARAMETER RESET in this article. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. If DTC U2510 or B2009 still exists, INSTALL a new TCM. REFER to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION - ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (ECVT) . TEST the system for normal operation. If the vehicle is equipped with the valet feature, program the third PATS key (if available) or instruct the customer on how to carry out this procedure. REFER to KEY PROGRAMMING USING TWO PROGRAMMED KEYS in this article.
No : The system is OK. CHECK for any other DTCs. REFER to the PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) - DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTC) INDEX .
