Pinpoint Test K: The EV Gauge Is Inoperative (Hybrid)

NOTE:
The gas engine must be off with the vehicle operating in electric vehicle mode for the EV gauge to operate.
- K1 VERIFY THAT THE IPC IS IN THE CORRECT DISPLAY SETTING
- Ignition ON.
- Using the setup menu, verify that the IPC is in the enlighten display mode.
- Is the IPC in the enlighten display mode?
- Yes : GO to K2.
- No : SET the display setting to enlighten mode.
- K2 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE PCM KOEO SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded PCM DTCs from the Key ON Engine OFF (KOEO) self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : DIAGNOSE all PCM DTCs first. REFER to the INTRODUCTION -- GASOLINE MODELS or INTRODUCTION -- FUSION HYBRID, MILAN HYBRID & MKZ HYBRID article.
- No : GO to K3.
- K3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded DTCs from the IPC self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes
: For DTC U0100:00, GO to PINPOINT TEST BF .
For DTC U0401:68, RETRIEVE and REPAIR all non-network DTCs in the PCM and other modules on the network. REFER to the INTRODUCTION -- GASOLINE MODELS or INTRODUCTION -- FUSION HYBRID, MILAN HYBRID & MKZ HYBRID article and MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article for a list of all DTCs.
For all other DTCs, REFER to DTC TABLES in this service information.
- No : INSTALL a new IPC . REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) in this service information. TEST the system for normal operation.
