No communication with the lighting control module (LCM)	Wiring, terminals or connectors LCM	REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article.
The control illumination is inoperative	Fuse Wiring, terminals or connectors LCM	Go to Pinpoint Test A .
The instrument cluster (IC) illumination is inoperative	LCM IC	Go to Pinpoint Test B .
The heating ventilation air conditioning (HVAC) illumination is inoperative	HVAC module LCM	Go to Pinpoint Test C .
The steering wheel control switch illumination is inoperative	Wiring, terminals or connectors Audio/climate control switch Speed control switch Steering wheel wiring harness Clockspring	Go to Pinpoint Test D .
The window control switch illumination is inoperative	Window control switch	CHECK the operation of the power windows. If the power windows operate correctly, INSTALL a new window control switch. TEST the system for normal operation. If the power windows do not operate correctly, REFER to GLASS, FRAMES & MECHANISMS article to continue diagnosis of the power windows.
A single illumination source is inoperative	Wiring, terminals or connectors Illumination source	Go to Pinpoint Test E .
The instrument panel illumination does not dim	Wiring, terminals or connectors Instrument panel dimmer switch LCM	Go to Pinpoint Test F .
All non-dimmable illumination sources are inoperative (the window control switches illumination operates correctly)	Fuse Wiring, terminals or connectors	VERIFY the central junction box (CJB) fuse 5 (7.5A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR circuit 964 (DB/LG). TEST the system for normal operation.
