Pinpoint Test H: The Ic Message Center Displays An "Active Park Fault" Message

NOTE: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
  1. H1 CHECK THE DTCs FROM BOTH THE CONTINUOUS AND ON-DEMAND PAM SELF-TESTS 
    • Check the PAM  DTCs from the continuous and on-demand self-tests.
    • Are any PAM DTCs recorded? 
    • Yes:  REFER to DTC CHARTS .
    • No:  GO to H2  .
  2. H2 CHECK THE DTCs FROM BOTH THE CONTINUOUS AND ON-DEMAND PSCM SELF-TESTS 
    • Check the PSCM  DTCs from the continuous and on-demand self-tests.
    • Are any PSCM DTCs recorded? 
    • Yes:  REFER to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING . REPAIR all PSCM  DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
    • No:  GO to H3  .
  3. H3 CHECK THE DTCs FROM BOTH THE CONTINUOUS AND ON-DEMAND ABS MODULE SELF-TESTS 
    • Check the ABS module DTCs from the continuous and on-demand self-tests.
    • Are any ABS module DTCs recorded? 
    • Yes:  REFER to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING . REPAIR all ABS module DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
    • No:  GO to H4  .
  4. H4 CHECK THE DTCs FROM BOTH THE CONTINUOUS AND ON-DEMAND PCM SELF-TESTS 
    • Check the PCM DTCs from the continuous and on-demand self-tests.
    • Are any PCM DTCs recorded? 
    • Yes:  REFER to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING . REPAIR all PCM DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
    • No:  For non-hybrid vehicles, GO to  H6.

      For hybrid vehicles, GO to H5  .

  5. H5 CHECK THE DTCs FROM BOTH THE CONTINUOUS AND ON-DEMAND TCM SELF-TESTS 
    • Check the TCM  DTCs from the continuous and on-demand self-tests.
    • Are any TCM DTCs recorded? 
    • Yes:  REFER to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING . REPAIR all TCM  DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
    • No:  GO to H6  .
  6. H6 CHECK THE DTCs FROM BOTH THE CONTINUOUS AND ON-DEMAND IC SELF-TESTS 
    • Check the IC  DTCs from the continuous and on-demand self-tests.
    • Are any IC DTCs recorded? 
    • Yes:  REFER to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING . REPAIR all IC  DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
    • No:  GO to H7  .
  7. H7 CHECK FOR CORRECT PAM OPERATION 
    • Disconnect the PAM  connector.
    • Check for:
      • corrosion
      • damaged pins
      • pushed-out pins
    • Connect the PAM  connector and make sure it seats correctly.
    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
    • Is the concern still present? 
    • Yes:  INSTALL a new PAM  . REFER to PARKING AID MODULE (PAM) . TEST the system for normal operation.
    • No:  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
