- Check for recorded PCM DTCs from the Key ON Engine OFF (KOEO) self-test.
- Are any PCM DTCs recorded?
- Yes: REFER to the INTRODUCTION - GASOLINE MODELS .
- No: GO to AI2 .
- AI2 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE TCM SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded TCM DTCs from the self-test.
- Are any TCM DTCs recorded?
- Yes: REFER to the INTRODUCTION - GASOLINE MODELS .
- No: GO to AI3 .
- AI3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE BCM SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded BCM DTCs from the self-test.
- Are any BCM DTCs recorded?
- Yes: REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES .
- No: GO to AI4 .
- AI4 CONFIRM THE STOP SAFELY NOW WARNING OPERATION
- Ignition ON.
- Observe the STOP SAFELY NOW warning operation.
- Is the STOP SAFELY NOW warning always displayed?
- Yes: GO to AI5 .
- No: GO to AI6.
- AI5 VERIFY THE OPERATION OF THE HAZARD WARNING INDICATOR NOTE: Both the hazard warning indicator and the STOP SAFELY NOW warning are displayed when a fault condition is detected.
- Observe the hazard warning indicator operation.
- Is the hazard warning indicator illuminated?
- Yes: GO to PINPOINT TEST AE .
- No: INSTALL a new IC . REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) . TEST the system for normal operation.
- AI6 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IC SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded IC DTCs from the self-test.
- Are any IC DTCs recorded?
- Yes: REFER to DTC CHARTS .
- No: INSTALL a new IC . REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) . TEST the system for normal operation.
