Removal And Installation

  1. Remove the lower A-pillar trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION article.
  2. Disconnect the front door electrical connector at the A-pillar.

  4. Remove the door check bolt.

    NOTE: To minimize the possibility of cross threading, hand start all fasteners during the installation.
    NOTE: To avoid damaging the door, this step requires an assistant.
  6. With a wax pencil, mark the position of each hinge and remove the hinge-to-door bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 24 Nm (18 lb-ft).

  8. Remove the front door.
  9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Upon installation, verify that door is aligned. For additional information, refer to BODY REPAIRS article.
