Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2003 Ford Pickup, 2003 Ford F550 Super Duty, 2003 Ford F450 Super Duty, 2003 Ford Excursion, and 2003 Ford Cab & Chassis. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Remove the radiator grille screws, disconnect the lower clips and remove the radiator grille. See Fig 1. Remove the upper radiator air deflector.
Remove the headlights. Remove the parking light assemblies. Remove the left side air deflector pushpin and hood latch cable clip. See Fig 2. Remove the air conditioning condenser brackets. See Fig 3.
Unclip the hood release cable from the radiator support. Remove the air deflector pushpins from the right rear air deflector. See Fig 4. Remove the air deflector pushpins from the left rear air deflector.
Remove the 3 air deflector pin-type retainers and the air temperature sensor. See Fig 5. Remove the radiator grille opening panel reinforcement retaining bolts. See Fig 6.
Lift the air conditioning condenser, then remove the radiator grille opening panel reinforcement. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
