Rear Brake Caliper & Pads: Removal
- Use a suitable suction device to lower the brake fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir.
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove rear wheels.
- Disconnect and plug brake hose at caliper.
- Disengage the parking brake cable end from the parking brake lever arm. See Fig 1.
- Remove the parking brake cable retaining clip. See Fig 2.
- Remove the parking brake cable and conduit. See Fig 3.
- Remove the rear disc brake caliper brake hose flow bolt. See Fig 4.
- Remove the rear brake caliper bolts and remove the caliper. See Fig 4.
- Remove brake pads from anchor plate. See Fig 5.
- Remove the slippers. See Fig 6.
- Measure the brake disc, resurface and or install new as necessary. See Fig 7.
