Instrument Cluster - SVT: Removal

NOTE: If a new instrument cluster is being installed connect WDS. Upload the instrument cluster configuration information using the programmable modules installation routine prior to commencing the removal of the instrument cluster.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT .
  2. Detach the instrument cluster bezel. (Steering wheel removed for clarity).
    • Remove the retaining screws and detach the retaining clips.

  3. Remove the instrument cluster bezel.
    • Disconnect the luggage compartment release switch electrical connector.

  4. Detach the instrument cluster.

  5. Disconnect the instrument cluster illumination electrical connector.

    6. CAUTION: The instrument cluster must be kept upright to avoid silicone liquid leaking from the gauges.
  6. Remove the instrument cluster
    1. Release the locking tang.
    2. Disconnect the instrument cluster electrical connector.
