Front Brake Caliper & Pads: Installation

1. If caliper was removed, connect brake hose to caliper.
CAUTION: If the caliper piston is retracted into the housing, brake fluid will be displaced from the master cylinder.
2. Compress piston until it is fully seated in caliper bore.
3. Install inboard pad in caliper.
4. Install outboard pad. Push the outer retaining clip over the spring retaining lugs. See Figure.
5. Ensure brake disc surfaces are clean before installation. Position caliper on caliper anchor plate.
6. Install caliper bolts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
7. Locate the outer pad retaining clip. See Figure.

Connect brake hose at strut support bracket and brake caliper. Refill and bleed system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
