Removal and Installation

NOTE: Removing the rear seat requires more than one technician.

Vehicles with second row center console 

  1. Remove the center console. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .

    All vehicles 

  2. Remove the safety belt buckles from the retaining strap on both rear seats.

  3. Remove the two seat riser-to-floor front bolts (one shown).

  4. Remove the two seat riser-to-floor rear nuts (one shown).

  5. Position the front seats forward for access to remove the rear seats.
  6. NOTE: Removing the rear seat requires more than one technician.
  7. Lift the rear seats off of the floor and rotate forward 180 degrees.
  8. Remove the seats from the vehicle.
  9. NOTE: Left seat shown, right seat similar.

  10. Remove the nuts for the seat riser on the affected seat.
  11. Remove the four bolts for the affected seat.

  12. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  13. Check the active restraint system for correct operation. Refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
    1. Make sure the safety belt is not twisted prior to installation.
