Axle Shaft Seal: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the front brake disc. Refer to DISC
  3. Remove the wheel hub and bearing. Refer to WHEELS & TIRES .
  4. Using a drift, drive the axle shaft main seal out of the wheel knuckle.

  5. Remove the axle shaft and main seal.

  6. Remove the axle shaft seal.
