Hinge Adjustment - In and Out, Front Door All, Crew Cab and Excursion, Rear: Notes

NOTE: Before carrying out the door hinge adjustment, refer to DOOR PRE-ADJUSTMENT INSPECTION .
NOTE: The following procedure is for carrying out fore, aft, up, down and tilt adjustments.
    NOTE: The driver door is shown, the passenger door, and Crew Cab and Excursion rear doors are similar.
  1. Remove the door striker.
  2. Loosen the hinge bolts on the door only enough to allow for slight door movement.

  3. Carefully close and adjust the door until flush with the adjacent body panels.

  4. Carefully open the door and tighten the bolts.

  5. Re-install and adjust the door striker. Refer to STRIKER ADJUSTMENT .
  6. Check the door for correct operation and alignment.
