Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
  2. Remove the liftgate latch screws.

  3. Release the liftgate latch cable locators.

  4. Position the liftgate latch aside.
  5. Remove the liftgate latch.
    1. Disconnect the door ajar switch electrical connector.
    2. Remove the liftgate latch cable cover.
    3. Release the cable conduit and the cable.

    6. NOTE: Transfer parts as necessary.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
