Removal & Installation

  1. Remove wheel cylinder. See WHEEL CYLINDERS  .
  2. Remove the wheel hub nut.
  3. Remove ABS sensor ring, if equipped.
  4. Using an appropriate slide hammer and adaptor, remove the wheel hub. See Fig 1 .
  5. Remove the cable retainer bolt. Remove the parking brake cable from the brake backing plate. See Fig 2 .
  6. Remove the backing plate bolts. Remove the brake backing plate.
