Removal & Installation (E350)

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel. Remove hub assembly. See HUB ASSEMBLY (E250 & E350) . Remove caliper anchor plate/caliper assembly. Mark wheel stud and corresponding rotor hole to minimize runout when installing. See Fig 1. Remove rotor bolts. Remove rotor.
  2. Inspect the rear hub for cracks and damage around the bolt holes an oversized holes.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Align rotor and hub stud marks. Install new brake pads as necessary. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
