Removal & Installation
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel. Remove caliper anchor plate. See CALIPER ANCHOR PLATE .
- To ensure the lowest front brake disc runout during reassembly, mark a wheel stud and mark the corresponding brake disc lug hole.
- Remove the brake disc bolts. Remove rotor.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Clean any rust or debris from brake disc and wheel hub. Use Metal Brake Parts Cleaner (F3AZ-19579-SA), or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M1C171-A to clean the front brake disc and hub surfaces.
- Apply High Temperature Nickel Anti-Seize Lubricant (F6AZ-9L494-AA), or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M12A4-A to the hub flange.
- Install the brake disc, aligning the marks on the disc and the hub. Install brake disc bolts. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Check Total Indicated Runout (TIR). TIR maximum is 0.003" (0.08 mm).
CAUTION:
If excessive force must be used during brake disc (1125) removal, the brake disc Total Indicated Runout (TIR) must be checked at installation.
