Removal & Installation

  1. Release parking brake.
  2. Raise and support vehicle.
  3. Remove floor console. See FLOOR CONSOLE .
  4. Disconnect electrical connector. See Fig 1.
  5. Remove clip and loosen parking brake cable adjustment nut. See Figure.
  6. Remove parking brake control mounting nuts. See Fig 2. Remove parking brake control.
  7. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Check and adjust as necessary. See PARKING BRAKE  under ADJUSTMENTS.
