Front Brake Caliper: Reassembly

NOTE: If using a "C" clamp to bottom out piston in caliper bore, ensure to use a wood block or an old brake pad between clamp and piston to avoid damage to piston.
  1. Lubricate the piston bore, piston seal and the caliper piston with high performance DOT 3 brake fluid meeting Ford specification.
  2. Install seal into caliper bore.
  3. Install a new dust seal onto the caliper piston.
  4. Install the caliper piston into the caliper bore.
  5. Seat the dust seal.
  6. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
