Diagnostic Aids
NOTE:
After each service or repair procedure has been completed, reconnect all components. Clear DTCs and repeat QUICK TEST procedures to ensure all electronic engine control systems are working properly and DTCs are no longer present.
Perform this test when directed by QUICK TEST. This test is only intended to diagnose the following components and circuits:
- Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) Switch
- Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
- Neutral Start Switch (F650-750 W/Allison AT545)
- Wiring Harness Circuits (CPP & SIG RTN)
- Clutch Pedal Position Switch
Is a normally closed switch that detects when clutch pedal is depressed (manual transmissions) to disable speed control system and PTO, and raised-idle mode. CPP switch actuation occurs as clutch is initially depressed prior to disengaging transmission at top of travel. - Neutral Start Switch
Is a normally closed switch that is used by PCM to enable raised-idle modes and Auxiliary Powertrain Control Module (APCM) functions.
