Accessing PID Data Monitor - Pending Codes (New Generation Star Tester)

To access PID Data Monitor for pending codes, turn ignition switch to OFF position. Ensure test equipment is properly attached. Using NGS tester, perform the following steps:

• Select VEHICLE & ENGINE SELECTION menu.
• Select NEW VEHICLE, YEAR & MODEL, with appropriate qualifier if needed. Such as transmission, Federal, California, etc.
• Follow operating instructions from scan tool menu.
• Select GENERIC OBD-II FUNCTIONS.
• Select RETRIEVE PENDING CODES.
