Removal and Installation
- Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301). Refer to
BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES
.
- Remove the air cleaner housing.
- Remove the brake master cylinder nuts.

- Position the brake master cylinder (2140) aside.

- Disconnect the booster vacuum hose.

- Disconnect the power distribution box auxiliary relay and set aside.

- Remove the instrument panel steering column opening cover.

- Remove the brake pedal position (BPP) switch self-locking pin.

- Remove the brake pedal position (BPP) switch (13480) and the brake booster push rod from the brake pedal pin.

- Remove the power brake booster nuts.
