Diagnostic Aids

An EBP signal that is detected out of range (high or low) by PCM will cause engine to ignore EBP signal and disable exhaust backpressure operation. Perform this test when directed by QUICK TEST. This test is only intended to diagnose the following components and circuits:
- Exhaust Backpressure (EBP) Sensor
- Wiring Harness Circuits; (EBP, SIG RTN & VREF)
- Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
NOTE:
F650-750 models are not equipped with EBP.
