System Overview

The 6.7L engine is equipped with a variable geometry turbocharger. Depending on the vehicle Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), there are two different turbochargers used. The turbocharger used on vehicles under 6350 kg (14,000 lb) GVWR is a 2-stage sequential variable geometry turbocharger. The turbocharger used on vehicles over 6350 kg (14,000 lb) GVWR is a single-stage variable geometry turbocharger.
