When the Body Control Module (BCM) enters a key programming state, it activates the transceiver to read the key in the ignition. If a valid Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) key is used and there are no concerns with the PATS the key is programed into the BCM memory.
- DTC B10D7:05 (PATS Key: System Programming Failure) - sets when a Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) key is unsuccessfully programmed into the BCM .
