Removal and Installation

NOTE: Only vehicles with a mechanical shift transfer case are equipped with a Mode Indication Switch (MIS).
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Disconnect the wiring harness connector.
  3. Remove the MIS  switch.
    • To install, tighten to 31 Nm (23 lb-ft).
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
