Wheel and Tire Rotation

NOTE: This procedure is intended for vehicles equipped with Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and different front and rear tire pressures.

Remove the wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to WHEEL AND TIRE - SINGLE REAR WHEEL (SRW) .
Rotate the wheel and tire assemblies as shown in illustration.
NOTE: The front tires are shown at the top of the illustration.
- Cross the front tires and move them to the rear of the vehicle.
- Move the rear tires (without crossing) to the front of the vehicle.

Install the wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to WHEEL AND TIRE - SINGLE REAR WHEEL (SRW) .
Adjust the tire pressures. Refer to the Vehicle Certification (VC) label located on the driver door jamb.
Train the TPMS sensors. For additional information, refer to TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) SENSOR TRAINING .
NOTE: The tire pressures must be adjusted and the tire pressure sensors must be trained following a tire rotation. Failure to train the sensors will result in a false low tire pressure event, which will cause the TPMS indicator to illuminate.
