Instrument Cluster (IC): Removal

NOTE: If installing a new Instrument Cluster (IC), all vehicle keys are erased during the parameter reset procedure. Verify at least 2 of the vehicle keys are available prior to carrying out this procedure.
  1. If installing a new IC  , upload the IC  configuration information to the scan tool. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
  2. Remove the upper instrument panel center finish panel. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
  3. If equipped with an automatic transmission, apply the parking brake and place the selector level in one of the low ranges.
  4. Lower the steering wheel tilt adjustment to the lowest position.
  5. Pull the lower instrument panel steering column cover out to release the retaining clips and remove the cover.
  6. Remove the 4 screws and the IC  finish panel.
    • If equipped, disconnect the electrical connectors.
  7. Remove the 2 screws and the IC  .
