Instrument Cluster (IC): Installation

  1. Position the IC  in the instrument panel, connect the electrical connector and install the 2 screws.
  2. If equipped, connect the electrical connectors, position the IC  finish panel and install the 4 screws.
  3. Install the lower instrument panel steering column cover.
  4. If equipped with an automatic transmission, place the selector level in PARK (P).
  5. Install the upper instrument panel center finish panel. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
  6. If installing a new IC  , download the IC  configuration information from the scan tool into the new IC  . For additional information, refer to Programmable Module Installation (PMI) in MODULE CONFIGURATION .
  7. NOTE: If a new IC  is installed, the IC  and the PCM require a parameter reset to allow the IC  and the PCM to recognize each other. Failure to carry out the parameter reset to the IC  and the PCM may result in a no start condition.
NOTE: If equipped, the vehicle's Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) keys must be programmed to the new IC  .

If installing a new IC  , carry out the parameter reset and key programming procedure.
