Ignition Switch

All columns
- Depower the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). For additional information, refer to
SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM

Vehicles with fixed column
- Remove the steering column shroud. For additional information, refer to
STEERING COLUMN
.
Vehicles with tilt column
- Remove the steering column. For additional information, refer to
STEERING COLUMN
.
- Place the steering column on a clean workbench.
- Position the column in the full upward position.
- Using suitable tools, push the first roll pin out of the fixed shoe.
- Pivoting on the second roll pin, tilt the fixed shoe downward.
- Position the tilt lever to rest against the steering column housing.
All columns
- Remove the ignition switch screw and the ignition switch.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).

NOTE: Make sure the electrical wiring harness is routed correctly and secured to the steering column or damage to the wires and/or connectors may occur.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
