Ignition Switch

All columns

Depower the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
Vehicles with fixed column
Remove the steering column shroud. For additional information, refer to STEERING COLUMN .
Vehicles with tilt column
Remove the steering column. For additional information, refer to STEERING COLUMN .
- Place the steering column on a clean workbench.
Position the column in the full upward position.
Using suitable tools, push the first roll pin out of the fixed shoe.

Pivoting on the second roll pin, tilt the fixed shoe downward.

Position the tilt lever to rest against the steering column housing.

All columns
Remove the ignition switch screw and the ignition switch.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
NOTE: Make sure the electrical wiring harness is routed correctly and secured to the steering column or damage to the wires and/or connectors may occur.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Repower the SRS . For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
