Intake Throttle Adapter: Removal

  1. Remove the vertical EGR cooler and EGR valve. For additional information, refer to ENGINE EMISSION CONTROL .
  2. Remove the Throttle Body (TB). For additional information, refer to FUEL CHARGING AND CONTROLS - 6.4L DIESEL .
  3. Remove the 4 bolts and the intake throttle adapter.
    • Remove and discard the press-in-place gasket.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Install a new press-in-place gasket.
