Crankshaft Front Seal: Removal

  1. Remove the crankshaft pulley. For additional information, refer to CRANKSHAFT PULLEY .
  2. Punch 2 holes in the seal.

  3. Using the Oil Seal Remover, remove and discard the crankshaft seal.

    4. NOTE: Production seals will not have a wear sleeve. If a service part has been installed, it will have a wear sleeve.

  4. If equipped, using the Crankshaft Seal Remover, remove and discard the crankshaft seal wear sleeve.
