Crankshaft Front Seal: Installation

  1. Thoroughly clean the crankshaft front seal mounting surface.
  2. Apply threadlock to the outer circumference of the leading edge of the crankshaft.
    3. NOTE: New seal and wear sleeve must not be separated.

  3. Using the Crankshaft Seal Installer, install a new oil seal and wear sleeve assembly.
  4. Install the crankshaft pulley. For additional information, refer to CRANKSHAFT PULLEY .
