Torque Converter One-Way Clutch Check

- Insert the One-Way Clutch Holding Tool (307-067) in one of the grooves in the stator thrust washer.
- Install the One-Way Clutch Holding Tool (307-062) in the converter pump drive.
- Using torque wrench, turn the special tool counterclockwise while holding the special tool stationary.
- The converter one-way clutch should lock up and hold the specified torque.
- The torque converter one-way clutch should rotate freely in the clockwise direction.
- Try the clutch for lockup and hold in at least five positions.
- If the clutch fails to lock up and hold the specified torque, install a new or remanufactured torque converter.
