Rear Case Bushings: Assembly

    NOTE: The rear case bushing has one lube groove. The front case bushing has three lube grooves.

  1. Assemble the Transmission Extension Housing Bushing Installer (307-258) onto Drawbar (204-029).
  2. Place the assembled special tools through the case and into the front case bushing.

  3. CAUTION: Make sure the bushing and tool are centered in the bore.

  4. Install the rear case bushing.
    1. Install the rear case bushing over the bushing installer into the case.
    2. Install the bushing installer.
    3. Install the washer and the nut hand-tight.
  5. Hold the drawbar while turning the nut until the rear case bushing is fully seated. Remove the tools.
