Visual Engine/Chassis Inspection: Purpose

The purpose of this test is to check the general condition of the engine and look for obvious causes of a hard start or no start condition.
Visual Engine/Chassis Inspection
NOTE:
The camshaft position (CMP) sensor, crankshaft position (CKP) sensor and the powertrain control module (PCM) connectors are the most critical electronic sensors/actuators to inspect in no start situations.
- Verify there are no fluid or pressure leaks.
- Inspect all wire connections for damage.
- Inspect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor, intake air temperature 2 (IAT2) sensor, charge air cooler (CAC) and intake for leaks.
