WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Ford Pickup, 2008 Ford F550 Super Duty, 2008 Ford F450 Super Duty, and 2008 Ford Cab & Chassis. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
P2127 - THROTTLE/PEDAL POSITION SENSOR/SWITCH E CIRCUIT LOW

Description:  The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor for a low voltage concern. The test fails when the APP2 circuit voltage is less than 0.25 volt (vehicles with an adjustable accelerator pedal or a fixed accelerator pedal with a white sensor housing) or 0.17 volt (all others).
Possible Causes:
  • APP2 circuit open
  • APP2 circuit short to ground
  • APP sensor
Diagnostic Aids:  An APP2 sensor PID reading may indicate a concern.
