P1586 - Electronic Throttle To Pcm Communication Error

P1586 - ELECTRONIC THROTTLE TO PCM COMMUNICATION ERROR

Description:  This DTC is set if there is no state change in the intake throttle control feedback circuit when the key is turned to the ON position. The intake throttle is cycled at key ON and the feedback signal should indicate a corresponding state change. If not, this DTC is set.
Possible Causes: 
  • Intake throttle actuator
  • ITVF circuit concern
  • ITVC circuit concern
Diagnostic Aids:  When a signal other than the expected characteristic signal is received this DTC is set.
Application    Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All   refer to PINPOINT TEST AX .
