P0403 - Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION (EGR) Control Circuit

P0403 - EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) CONTROL CIRCUIT

Description:  The powertrain control module (PCM) continuously monitors the EGR actuator and circuits for opens and shorts.
Possible Causes: 
  • EGRVCL circuit short to ground
  • EGRVCH circuit short to ground
  • EGRVCL circuit short to voltage
  • EGRVCH circuit short to voltage
  • EGRVCL circuit open
  • EGRVCH circuit open
  • EGR valve
Diagnostic Aids:  This DTC is set when the PCM detects an EGR control circuit concern.
Application    Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory
